WAFCAT Education Support Project for Children with Disabilities (ESPCD) Scholarship Award Ceremony & Empowerment Seminar
(July 19 – 20, 2018 in Khon Khaen)
WAFCAT successfully organized the ESPCD ceremony and seminar in Khon Khaen, and 25 students with special needs and their parents and teachers attended and received a grant certificate and memorial jacket.
Mr. Junetsu Komatsu, vice-chairman of WAFCA, attended on behalf of WAFCA (Japan), and Mr. Suporntum Monkolsawadi, chairman of WAFCAT, and Mr. Pinai Sirinakorn attended as WAFCAT board members.
Mr. Komatsu said in his speech that although we have different language and culture, we can continue making an effort to achieve a barrier-free society by meeting face to face and knowing with each other, regardless with or without disabilities.
Mr. Suporntum also encouraged the students to challenge making their own life story just like he did make his own as a wheelchair user and Paralympic sports player.
The ceremony was followed by target goal-setting and social networking activities. Now all the students are in the LINE Group, so that they can exchange update information and feelings through SNS anytime!
