“Internship Student at WAFCAT” Education Support Project for Children with Disabilities
In year 2018, WAFCAT supports 35 students with disabilities who study at primary & high school, technical college and university (bachelor degree) in 14 provinces around Thailand. Ms. Wanisa Chitpanya is one of those students and she is studying Vocational Course (2nd year) at Nongkhai Redemptorist Technical College. She became WAFCAT’s first internship student from 23 July - 28 September 2018. WAFCAT provided her a scholarship for a rental room near WAFCAT. DENSO (Thailand) also supported transportation from her apartment to office every day. During internship, she applied her knowledge and skills in computer to her assigned job of typing documents and created some video clips in Vietnamese and Japanese languages and posted on her Facebook page, too. Besides, she had several chances to join outing events for PR booth and fund-raising activity.
“I was so glad that I have a chance to be an internship student at WAFCAT. It was a precious experience of my life. It was challenging for me, but in the future, when I faced any bigger difficulty, I would never give up. Before, I thought that I would find a job after graduating from my college, but after the internship, I changed my mind. I will continue studying Japanese language at university because I think it would change my future to be better!” said Wanisa.
