Due to the second wave of COVID-19 from the end of December 2020, all sectors are required to strengthen safety measures to reduce the risk the infection. Many social organizations, including WAFCAT, have to adjust the way of working to continue their activities. For example, WAFCAT organized several online video-call meetings to follow-up with our grantee students with disabilities about their schooling. We also discussed online with teachers of 3 provincial special education centers to exchange information on wheelchair service provision for children with disabilities
1) Online Meeting on Wheelchair Service Provision
Jan 29, 2021: Online meeting with the director and teachers of Nakhonpanom Special Education Center.
Feb 3, 2021: Online meeting with the vice-director and teachers of Buriram Special Education Center.
Feb5, 2021: Online meeting with the teacher of Mukdahan Special Education Center.
2) Follow-up Meeting with Grantee Students with Disabilities
Jan18, 2021: Online meeting to follow-up with a grantee student in Loei, Ms. Pornwipa Puangpaiwan at Jeerawanon U-Thit 4 School. She decided to go on studying at Nongkhai Redemtorist Techonogical College after she graduated from the current school in this March. Jan 22, 2021: Online meeting to follow-up with a student in Sisaket, Ms. Jintaprapa Saiya, who is going to graduate from high school (Non-Formal Education School of Kanthararom district) this March. She will go on studying a bachelor degree in Mahasarakam Rajbhat University in 2021.
