Ohm Anantachai Srisa-at Ohm got a job today. and is scheduled to prepare for graduation in the next year It's been a glorious year for Ohm and WAFCAT is delighted that Ohm is on the path to continued success. Today we had the opportunity to sit down and talk to Ohm about his past life until now when he got a job. Let's see what Ohm has been through.

We want to know about you more. Introduce yourself please.

Hello, I'm Ohm, Anantachai Srisa-at. I'm currently 24 years old. I'm currently working at PromptNow Co., Ltd. as a Developer. I've just been promoted to be a department head. I started to weaken my legs around 5th - 6th grade but at that time I was still able to walk. and couldn't walk at all when I was in 7th grade . At that time, I had to rely on riding on my friend's back to study.

Why you became to a scholarship ?

It must have been during the 7th grade. The teacher thinks I should pass the criteria so I try to apply. Then came through to be a scholarship student around the year 11-12, the foundation contacted to provide assistance in various fields. Something like that.

What does WAFCAT support ?

It's about scholarships. At that time, I would get a tricycle when I was in 8th grade and later get a wheelchair to use for high school. When coming to university, I will help with scholarships, dormitory fees and travel expenses when there are activities. And I get a electronic-wheelchair.

How did you get past the obstacles?

If asked about obstacles, the first thing is about life. Since 9th Grade, that time was a turning point in terms of studying. At that time, I felt that I had finished 9th grade. So where should we go next? I want to have a job. I want to have a good future. At that time, WAFCAT recommended me to go to the first camp organized by the Foundation, probably at Jomtien Beach. Then the foundation took us to see the work at the Pattaya Redemptorist School. And saw that they was able to live on they own without having to rely on others. and they has teaching and saw that some people could go to work Some have been athletes for the national team. Some went out to run their own businesses. So it makes us feel more encouraged. It was then that I decided to go to school. My family send me together. My mom and dad are crying. because they was worried about how I would live Will someone bully me? But I'm confident that I can do it. But when it comes to actually living The society here is very good, no bullying because everyone is the same. while going to university with friends I totally understand because it's a society where everyone has grown up. I only met a good community so I didn't feel discouraged. Besides, I'm a positive person.

How do you feel after finish bachelor's degree ?

I'm happy. Because during 4 years, I felt that I had gone through a lot, including waking up early to study. to meet more people in society The way we have to manage time for studying, sleeping, working Makes me feel grown up.

Good! How about your job ?

I've only been working for about 2 months now. But there is a probation period of 3 months. In total, I have been working here for 5 months already. Now that I have passed the promotion, I have been promoted to be the head of this department. Actual work is very different from studying. Because learning came across theory, but rarely practiced. But when coming to work for real, we have to design work processes, manage people, manage our projects. And the time frame that must be delivered to customers, maintenance, our service must be planned, organized and punctual. My work is Work from anywhere. My work is full of fun, pressure, and excitement (laughs). But I am a person who can manage my feelings. Leaving work is personal time. When I'm working, I'm fully at it.

Do you want to thank WAFCAT ?

Really, it's already on my mind. We have been recipients since high school, university until we succeeded in our work. I would like to thank the foundation for supporting a handicapped person who at first felt that the road ahead was still bleak. Foundation is like a candle that comes to light again. Help guide me to be successful in my career. would like the foundation to help children child with disabilities. If I have the opportunity, will continue to support the foundation.

Last question. How about your future ?

Now I plan to pursue a master's degree. Management (MBA) in order to manage the resources of the people in the position that I have received. and would like to work in this field to the fullest I may work for another 5-10 years to be stable first so that in the future I can do my own business in one area of what we like.
