Talk with "Aoi" about experience in work life.

Aoi Wichuda Pila  Our talented scholarship students, Aoi had some work experience. she used to work as a call centre at AIS, and now Aoi still wants more experience. Now she decided to work full time here to get more work experience. So today we intend to talk to Aoi a little more about the history of Aoi and past experiences. To know more about Aoi let's get started

Introduce yourself for us please.

Hello, I'm Aoi Wichuda Pila. Now I'm 21 years old. Domiciled in Sisaket Province. I started to be disabled since I was born. Because at first the doctor didn't tell mom that I was disabled doctor just said  everything was fine. After 1 week, the doctor informed me that my leg was deformed from birth. And it made me weak legs and brittle bones. It's resson why I can't walk.

Why you became to scholarship ?

At that time I was in kindergarten. There is a special education centre and attending a normal school. But at that time, teachers at the Special Education Centre suggested that there was a foundation. Do you want us to enter as a capital child? in order to have scholarships for education. Grandma applied. P'Wing came to visit the area at my house. Probably around '12-13.

What does WAFCAT support ?

There will be scholarships. and travel expenses when going to camps or activities of the foundation and support wheelchairs There is also a camp that I went to Suphanburi, I don't remember the ice cream camp last time. but remember to give the children Get to learn, adventure and live in the city. Available to try to ride the BTS in Bangkok. Let the younger ones go out to meet outside society whether they can live or not.

How did you get past the obstacles?

There are obstacles when studying together with a normal school. Because I always have to sit in a wheelchair and have to be carried to class with me. And it's not as convenient to go upstairs as a friend who can climb stairs. The teacher at the school said “If you can't walk, you don't have to come to school. It's better to study at home than not be able to go to school anyway.” “I will study. Because in another year and a half, I will graduate from 9th grade.” And the director at the school is kind. always support me and always say “Even if you can't go up to school like you can. But you are a teacher, you have to come down to teach the younger ones. In order to allow the younger students to study like friends.” I was insulted a lot. I pushed myself until I finished 9th grade I fought with it and didn't give up on obstacles.

Can you tell me about your experience working at AIS?

At that time, it was during Vocational 3. that I have to practice At first, they will be trained at the office as a general administrative job. But I asked the teacher to train in the Call Center department because there was one vacant position. So I asked to practice. I started my internship on April 25, 2022. I did an internship for a 3 months. In the beginning when I went to train, the elders were not very interested because at that time there were a lot of AIS jobs and I didn't have time to teach me. But if there is free time, the boss gives the elders. Come teach and practice scripts for me, something like this. and will let me sit and listen to the elders each table how each person responds to customers how to solve the problem. I listen for about 1 week. After sitting, start using the program and call customers. That is, we meet many types of customers. Some people listen very well to what we have to offer. Some people were annoyed about why they called so much, they were cursed, some were complimented by the customers, but we couldn't respond to the customers, but the people at work were always nice and supportive. Where there is a job teaching that I am not able to do, my elder will teach and tell me something like this. In the beginning, I might not be able to cope. After work, there are times when I complain to my friends about what I've been through each day. Friends encouraged and said “We haven't encountered every bad call.” We have to be very calm when working, although I'm actually very impatient (laughs). I would like to gain another 1-2 years of experience and will go back to study at a bachelor's degree.

Do you want to thank WAFCAT ?

I want to thank the WAFCAT and WAFCA, P'Wing, P'Pear, P'Aiw, everyone in the foundation. because without you entering the area I would be like other disabled children just staying at home. P'Wing and Uncle Un came to visit at that time. and was the one who suggested that the youngster must study well and go further Uncle Un said that I was the first scholarship student to say that I would not continue my studies. I have P'Dream as an idol. Because he is also an alumnus at the Redeemer Nong Khai. During the camp at that time, P'Dream advised me to study here. So I applied and made an offer to P'Wing that I wanted to study here. P'Wing never said that she did not have a scholarship. P'Wing only said that I was very pleased that I would come out to study. On the first day, I was very discouraged and wanted to go home (laughs). But what I wanted to continue my studies was my parents and the foundation that had always supported me. I would like to thank the foundation for providing scholarships to support education. I may be a scholarship student who isn't that neat. It caused some teachers at the college to have headaches. It caused P'Wing some headaches. Now, I would like to thank the foundation for helping me reach my dreams. Thank you.

Okay. How about your future ?

Just normally, I want to graduated and got a job. Now I'm going to save a lot of money. and continue to study at the highest level Because I want to go to government service. I wanted to be a teacher but when I actually came to experience it The word teacher is not just a teacher. It serves many functions. How to teach children about it? But for me, no matter what kind of bureaucracy, I can do it. I want to make my parents proud once in a while.
